These are Grower Champagnes from small family houses, not the big brands. It takes a lot of courage to produce your own Champagne when you've got the constant pressure of the big houses' marketing budgets to fight against. These are some of my absolute favorite producers, many of whom are practicing low-intervention in one of the hardest regions in the world to do it in.
