What is UNPINNED?

unPINNED is a curated wine experience built around small-production, independent wines. We run a monthly wine club with three membership tiers, as well as a bottle shop where you can browse and buy individual bottles anytime. Our goal is to make discovering great wine feel like an adventure, not a chore.

What makes UNPINNED different from other online wine stores?

Most online wine stores are built around volume: thousands of SKUs, big brands, and whatever moves fastest. We do the opposite. Every bottle in our shop and every club shipment is chosen because it's genuinely interesting and is personal to us. That means our wines are from small producers, who make small-batch wines and use low intervention practices. 


We're not trying to be everything to everyone. We're for people who are curious about wine and want to drink wines with a story.

Why do you handwrite your tasting notes?

Because wine is personal, and a printed spec sheet doesn't feel that way. And, honestly, with the rise of AI, anything printed feel less authentic.

 

 When you scan each UNPINNED QR code on your bottle, you're reading notes that were written by hand by Ashwin. Not AI generated.

 

It's a small thing, but it's a deliberate one. We want the experience of discovering a new wine to feel like a recommendation from a friend, not a bot.

2. Bottle Shop

What is the bottle shop?

The bottle shop lets you buy individual wines from our curated selection, on your own terms. No subscription needed. Browse our collections divided between The Classics and The Other 10,000 and order what catches your eye, whenever you like.

Do I need to be a club member to shop?

Nope! The bottle shop is open to everyone. If you enjoy what you find, joining the club is a great way to get a curated selection delivered regularly.

Can I mix and match bottles in one order?

Absolutely. Add any combination of bottles to your cart and check out in one go. There's no minimum order requirement.

I'm not sure which wines to buy. Can I get some help?

Yes, and we'd love to help. We offer complimentary personal shopping sessions with Ashwin, who can walk you through the selection, understand what you like, and point you toward bottles you'll actually enjoy. No pressure or upsell. Just a real conversation about wine.

Can I gift someone wines from the bottle shop?

Yes! We offer wine gift bags and blank cards you can add to your order to make any wine from the bottle shop instantly giftable. 

 

If you would like to gift a shipment to someone directly, please reach out to us at cheers@unpinnedwine.com after placing your order with your gift message and we can be sure to include it in the shipment.

What membership tiers do you offer?

We have three tiers to match where you are on your wine journey:

Mini — 3 bottles/month for $137
Full Experience (most popular) — 6 bottles/month for $227
The Collector — 12 bottles/month for $427

Every tier is curated from small-production wines all around a monthly theme that you won't easily find on a shelf.

What kinds of wines do members receive?

Each month we curate a selection of small-production wines from independent makers. Expect bottles that have a story behind them and offer something you won't find at a big-box wine shop. Our picks rotate regularly, so there's always something new to discover.

I see the wine club is currently closed. How do I get in?

The club opens periodically to new members — we keep it that way intentionally so we can give everyone the experience they signed up for. The best way to get in is to join the waitlist. When a spot opens up, you'll hear from us first.

Can I pause or cancel my membership?

Yes — you can pause or cancel anytime, no hoops to jump through. Just log into your account or reach out to us and we'll take care of it.

When does my card get charged each month?

Your card will be charged on the 1 month anniversary from when you first joined the club. 

4. Orders & Shipping Questions

Which states do you ship to?

We ship to most US states. Due to state alcohol shipping laws, we are currently unable to ship to Alabama, Mississippi, South Dakota, Tennessee, or Utah. If you're unsure about your state, reach out before placing an order.

How long does shipping take?

Orders typically ship within 2–4 business days. Delivery time after that will depend on your location and carrier. You'll receive a tracking number once your order is on its way. Many East Coast customers report that they receive their wines within 2 days of ordering! 

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is FREE for all UNPINNED Wine Club shipments.

 

For the bottle shop:

1-6 bottles - $25 standard shipping

7-11 bottles - $35 standard shipping

12+ bottles - FREE shipping

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, we offer free shipping on bottle shop orders of 12 or more bottles

Do I need to verify my age to purchase?

Yes. You must be 21 or older to purchase from unPINNED. Age verification is required at checkout, and someone 21 or older must be present to sign for delivery.

Do you ship to P.O. boxes?

We cannot ship to P.O. boxes, but can organize a FedEx/UPS pickup. If you are interested in this option, email us at cheers@unpinnedwine.com after completing your order. 

What happens if my order arrives damaged?

If your shipment arrives with broken bottles or significant damage, contact our fulfillment partner Global Sphere Trading Company at concierge@spheretrading.co within 48 hours of delivery. Please include your order number and photos of the damaged items and packaging. They'll review your claim and sort out a replacement if possible.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds and replacements are only available for orders damaged during shipping. We don't offer refunds for taste preferences or minor packaging variations, which can occasionally happen with small-production wines. If your order was canceled due to a shipping restriction or compliance issue, Global Sphere Trading Company will be in touch.

Who do I contact about an order issue?

All order fulfillment, shipping, and post-purchase support is handled by Global Sphere Trading Company. Reach them at concierge@spheretrading.co for anything related to your shipment.
