The family behind Vadin-Plateau has been farming vines in the premier cru village of Cumières since 1765, making this one of the oldest family estates in Champagne.
The current name dates to 1958, when Guy Vadin married into the Plateau family and the domaine took on its modern identity as a Récoltant-Manipulant. Organic and biodynamic farming practices took root in 2012, with the estate avoiding herbicides and even keeping chickens in the vineyards as natural fertilizers.
Today, the torch has been passed to Aurélie, who is steering the maison with a blend of tradition and her own creative vision across seven hectares of vines. We're drawn to how deliberately personal this domaine is: each cuvée carries a sense of place and a person behind it.
