The Brocard family has been farming vines in the Côte des Bar since 1932, when great-great-grandfather Georges Brocard founded the domaine in the Vallée de l'Ource near Celles-sur-Ource.
The estate is named after Thibaud's father Pierre, who started the reserve solera in 1991 that still anchors the Tradition today. Thibaud took over in 2012 after five years apprenticing with some of Burgundy's most respected names, and that time away shaped everything about how he farms and makes wine.
The 6.5-hectare estate is entirely organic, glyphosate-free for over two decades, and farmed with biodynamic and regenerative practices. Thibaud works with native yeast, keeps SO2 additions to a minimum, and ages his wines three to five years on the lees before release.
