Collection: The Classics
Because producers from the classic regions can lean name recognition, there are counterintuitively many more mass produced, poor quality, and heavily manipulated wines. In fact, I found that truly terroir-expressive, small-production, and low-intervention winemaking in the classic regions is a rarity.
I tasted nearly 1,000 wines to find the ones that most honestly express time and place, made by farmers and families, not big corporations.
