About the Producer

Château Jean Faux sits in Sainte-Radegonde on the right bank of Bordeaux, just a short distance from Saint-Émilion, in a part of the region that most people fly right past. The estate traces its roots to at least the 17th century, but the modern story starts in 2002 when Pascal Collotte, a former barrel-maker by trade, bought the property with his wife Chrystel and essentially rebuilt it from scratch.

Pascal passed away in 2022, and today Chrystel and their children Clémence and Victor run the estate, carrying forward exactly the kind of minimal-intervention philosophy that drew us to this wine in the first place.

Why I Chose this Wine

Entre-Deux-Mers is one of those corners of Bordeaux that gets overlooked because there's so much noise around the big names nearby, and that's exactly why I went looking there.

Château Jean Faux is what you find when you go digging: a small, biodynamic estate making wine the way it should be made, with as little interference as possible and with terroir that genuinely has something to say.

This is Bordeaux for people who want to understand what the place actually tastes like, not what a polished, manipulated version of it tastes like.
