Szerémi Zöld, Bakator, Tamjanika, Mézes Fehér: there's a good chance you've never heard of any of these grapes, and that's exactly the point.
Oszkar is one of the only people in the world still growing some of them, and he's doing it in the most traditional way possible: as a true field blend, where all four varieties grow and are harvested together, then co-fermented as one. This is how wine was made for centuries before the industry decided that sorting, separating, and controlling every variable was the path to quality.
Oszkar's view, and mine, is that sometimes the most honest expression of a place comes from getting out of the way and letting the vineyard speak for itself.
