Le Vigne di Eli is a boutique winery Marco de Grazia established in 2006 on Etna's north slope, named after his daughter Elena, who designs the labels for every release.
When Marco was offered two of the most coveted, tiny vineyard parcels on Etna, they didn't produce enough fruit to fold into Tenuta delle Terre Nere, so he built something new around them instead.
Total production sits at around 8,000 bottles across four wines, all from organically farmed vineyards planted with native varieties of the volcano. The Etna Bianco draws Carricante from three different slopes of the appellation, each contributing its own distinct character to the blend.
Terre Nere has farmed organically since its very first vintage in 2002, a commitment that runs through everything in the Le Vigne di Eli project too.
