Fabien Duveau is the eighth generation of his family, and took over the estate from his father in 2008 converting all 20 hectares across 40 parcels to organic and biodynamic viticulture from day one.
The estate holds both Ecocert and Demeter certification, and the biodynamic philosophy shows up everywhere: beehives in the vineyards, sheep for eco-pasturing, ecological zone reservoirs at the borders of the parcels to support biodiversity and natural pest predation.
His cellar was carved from tuffeau limestone in the 14th century, the same pale stone that built the great Loire châteaux, and that constant natural chill and humidity is part of what gives the wines their freshness.
