This domaine has been making wine in Jongieux since 1830 — six generations of the Carrel family working the steep slopes of the Mont du Chat and Mont de la Charvaz. In 2022, Thomas Senger, a young Savoie native who spent years traveling the world working with LVMH's wine estates, came back to his home region and acquired the domaine, partnering with the Carrel family to bring it into a new chapter.
What I find compelling about this is that Thomas didn't go somewhere famous to make his mark — he came home, to a region most people outside France have never heard of, because he genuinely believes in what Savoie can do. I 100% agree.
