TASTING NOTES:

Nose: Red fruit; nutty-spice; earthy. Cranberry, pomegranate, figs; baklava: walnuts, cardamom; hay bale and dried straw.

Palate: Delicately balanced with soft tannins and a complexity derived of age.

ASHWIN'S REFLECTION:

The grape variety Babić is so rare that it grows in one place: a stretch of coast in northern Dalmatia in Croatia. You can't really find it anywhere else on earth, and I'm thrilled to have been able to get it in enough quantity to be able to share it with you.

It's a variety that I find tends to benefit with some age because the acidity mellows out and the micro-oxygenation accentuates the aromatic profile of the grape. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do!
