TASTING NOTES:
Nose: refined bouquet: cherry, leather, tobacco, plums, forest floor, dried herbs with an underlying freshness
Palate: so juicy and delicious with long, gripping tannins that add to the elegance of this wine
FOOD PAIRING RECOMMENDATION:
Tortellini al ragù
or
Prosciutto crudo (no melons!)
or
Pecorino w/ walnuts
ASHWIN'S REFLECTION:
Pietro Beconcini is a family-run organic estate + winery in San Miniato in Tuscany. The estate is currently led by the 4th generation of the family, Leonardo Beconcini and alongside Eva Bellagamba. This is a wine from Tuscany’s slightly more under-the-radar part of Tuscany — San Miniato — whose wines are much less well-known than those from more famous regions like Chianti Classico, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Bolgheri, etc., and for that reason you can find incredible quality wines at reasonable prices.
