ASHWIN'S REFLECTION:
The Hamilton family has been making wine in Australia for over 175 years, and that makes them one of the oldest — if not the oldest — winemaking families on the continent. Mary is the 6th generation winemaker now and has already started leaving her fingerprints on the winemaking philosophy of the estate by updating the trellising of the vines and structuring the activity in the cellar such that gravity "powers" most of the movement of the wine when needed — i.e. allowing nature to do its thing with less machines.
