ASHWIN'S REFLECTION:
Based in Aube in Côte des Bar, the maison Fluteau operates in a subregion of Champagne that’s generally considered “secondary” compared to some of the northern Champagne counterparts, but they deliver wines of quality and distinction. The Écho expression is meant to reflect the terroir of Aube and offers us a view into a more mineral-driven and underripe-fruit-driven style of Champagne that I find quite attractive.
