ASHWIN'S REFLECTION:
Furmint is one of my favorite white wine grape varieties, and Somló is one of my favorite regions for it given the natural complement between the variety’s characteristics and Somló’s volcanic soil. Gábor & Zsófi, the husband & wife owners + winemaking team are champions of indigenous Hungarian varieties vinified with minimal intervention resulting in maximum terroir expression. A more interesting and dynamic duo in winemaking you would be hard-pressed to meet!
