ASHWIN'S REFLECTION:
This wine can be the source of a lot of mind-bending confusion given its name + grape variety. "Trebbiano d'Abruzzo" is a DOC, i.e. it is a classified place with a particular style of wine, which requires at least 85% of the blend to be from one of three grapes: Trebbiano Abruzzese, Trebbiano Toscano, or Bombino Bianco. In this case, we have a 100% Trebbiano Abruzzese, which is not the same as (or even closely related to) Trebbiano Toscano, despite the admittedly confusing naming convention. It's quite rare to find monovarietal Trebbiano Abruzzese, but after tasting this wine, I can't for the life of me figure out why!
