If a wine remains forgotten for too long, it will eventually vanish. In this theme, we explore some of the forgotten grapes of the world and bring them into the limelight – wines like Juhfark, Azal, and Teran, among others. These wines deserve a place in our glasses and on our planet.
Georgia is the birthplace of wine, and because many of us aren’t overly familiar with Georgian wines, we’re going to taste comparatively – Georgian wines with counterparts from slightly more traditional regions and varietals. It’s a duel of terroir. A clash of technique. A celebration of difference.
For centuries, women were excluded from the world of wine. But today, they’re rewriting the rules—in the vineyard, in the cellar, and in the story of wine itself. This theme highlights women who are not just making wine, but making waves: from Australia to Oregon.
