The Todić family has been farming this corner of Serbia's Toplica region, near the town of Blace, for generations, but it wasn't until around 2010 that they turned that land into an actual winery, with their first bottlings following a few years later.
The whole project is built around Prokupac, Serbia's own indigenous grape, which the Todićs plant more of than anything else on the estate. It's paid off: Doja's Prokupac became the first Serbian wine to win the Balkans International Wine Competition trophy for best red made from a native variety.
This rosé is Prokupac doing something different, mostly that grape with just enough Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Shiraz blended in to give it backbone.
