ASHWIN’S REFLECTION:

Txakoli (also seen with the definite article as “Txakolina”) takes its name from a Basque phrase meaning “home made” or “enough for the house” because that’s what it was → a wine that farmhouses pressed for themselves. The grapes in the blend are Hondarrabi Zuri and Mune Mahatsa which are varieties typical to Bizkaiko Txakolina, and they are known to be vibrant grapes giving Txakolina its zinginess in the glass.
