ASHWIN'S REFLECTION:
Zlatan Plenković founded his winery in 1991, and it was the second private winery in all of Croatia after the country declared its independence. The vineyard and winery are located on the picturesque island of Hvar, and everything about this wine, from label design to vinification, is meant to capture the carefree Dalmatian drinking style of sitting dockside with the smell of sea mist in your nostrils. And what's even better is that this wine achieves the authenticity of reflecting the Croatian coast by the fact that it's made from exclusively indigenous varieties such as Bogdanuša, Pošip, Maraština, Prč, and others.
